Solar Live is a dedicated local Live Status monitor for (metered) Enphase IQ (or Envoy) Gateways.
Solar Live, when on the same network as your Enphase Gateway, shows the live status for solar power production, consumption and grid import/export.
Since Solar Live uses a local network connection to your Enphase Gateway, it can immediately show the live status.
Solar Live does only work while on the same network as your Enphase gateway. Unless your Enphase gateway is directly accessible from the Internet (not typical), this means it only works when your device is connected to your local (home) network.
Note that consumption and grid use live status requires a metered Enphase Gateway – for non-metered gateways, only solar power production is shown. Gateway firmware version 7 or higher is required (almost all gateways will be running version 7 or 8 by now).
Enphase systems that contain battery storage and/or generators are not supported.
Solar Live is an independent app and is not created by, commissioned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Enphase.
Production, consumption, and grid import/export data obtained from your Enphase gateway is displayed live but never stored, not on the device nor elsewhere, and never shared with anyone.
The only data stored on the device is:
None of this data (with one exception) leaves the device, and none of this data is shared with Cloud App Labs (makers of Solar Live) or any other third party. The one exception is the access token: if iCloud Keychain is enabled, then it will be available on other devices that are signed in to the same iCloud account.
If you have allowed analytics to be collected (in Settings, Privacy & Security) this data will be available to Cloud App Labs (makers of Solar Live). Apple collects this information anonymously. See support.apple.com/108971 for more information.
No other data is tracked or shared with anyone.
